Scheduled just ahead of May’s National Assembly elections, this conference provided a timely opportunity to discuss the priorities which policymakers should focus on when setting out plans for the future of health and social care policy in Wales.
Spokespersons from Plaid Cymru, Welsh Conservatives, Welsh Liberal Democrats and Welsh Labour made keynote contributions setting out their party’s vision with delegates having the opportunity to pose questions and comments.
The conference brought together key stakeholder perspectives on the main challenges currently facing the delivery of health and social care across Wales. Delegates included Local Health Boards, health professionals, local authorities, private sector and third sector providers of health and care services, patient representatives and charities focused on specific health conditions or patient groups and academics working in these fields.
