Timed to follow the publication of the first State of Natural Resources Report, in September 2016 from Natural Resources Wales and coming ahead of the statutory National Natural Resources Policy, which is due to be published in Spring 2017, the seminar focused on the future of environment policy in Wales.
Delegates discussed challenges and opportunities for the sustainable management of Wales’ natural capital - including supporting biodiversity, marine conservation and land use management, along with strategies for reducing air pollution across Wales.
Further sessions considered the role of Wales in international projects to tackle climate change, options for improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions in Wales, and proposals for adapting to a changing climate.
