The seminar focused on the future of health and social care in Wales.

Delegates discussed key findings and recommendations from the Parliamentary Review of Health and Social Care, and the priorities for the Welsh Government’s subsequent £100m Transformation Fund - focusing on the proposed new models of seamless care, the potential improvements to the digital and capital infrastructure and ways to engage staff and service users in proactive care.

They also considered what more might be done to improve access to health and social care services closer to people’s homes.

Further sessions examined the main proposals outlined in the Welsh Government’s White Paper Services Fit for the Future - including the replacement of Community Health Councils with a new citizen voice body working across health and social care, reforms to regulation and inspection arrangements, and measures to strengthen governance and leadership across health and social care.
